How to keep a device visible in AirBuddy
AirBuddy normally displays devices when their information is available and relevant. For example, AirPods can appear while nearby, mobile devices appear while reporting battery information within a reasonable time interval, and third-party accessories usually appear only when connected.
Pin a device to keep it in the Dashboard and device lists even when AirBuddy can’t currently reach it.
Pin from the Dashboard
- Open the AirBuddy Dashboard.
- Right-click or Control-click the device.
- Choose Pin.
Pin from settings
- Open AirBuddy settings and select Devices.
- Locate the device.
- Click its pin button, or use the More menu and choose the pin action.
Pinned devices remain visible with their most recently available information. Pinning doesn’t keep a Bluetooth connection open and doesn’t increase the accessory’s power usage.
You can also mark a headset as a favorite. Favorite-device actions and shortcuts use that choice when more than one compatible headset is available.
