Why does AirBuddy show my AirPods as a single device, but sometimes it shows the right and left ones separately?

The left and right buds of your AirPods, AirPods Pro or Powerbeats Pro are technically two separate devices, but AirBuddy will treat them as a single device when their battery status is basically the same.

When the battery status differs significantly between the separate buds, AirBuddy will show them separately. This will happen if one of the buds has a battery level that’s much lower than the other one, or when one of the buds is charging, but the other one is not.
